The story is about a clan, protecting the legendary Heavenly Sword. No mortal can wield the Heavenly sword. Whoever wields it pays a price, their lives. They had a profecy that one day in the year of the Fire-Horse, a boy shall be born and rescue their clan form the evils.But instead of a boy, a girl was born. Her name is Nariko. They treat her as a curse because they thought that the gods have turned back on them. One day, their clan has been attacked and the Heavenly Sword was given to Nariko to protect. She ran away from the clan for the sword's sake. But then her father, Shen, was captured and she was surrounded by hundreds of soldiers. She has no choice but to use the Heavenly Sword. She used it to escape. She was found by Kai, her friend. Now, Nariko seeks for revenge. She entered the enemy's lair and kill them one by one. But she was later then captured. It's now up to Kai to help her out. Nariko was put into an arena where she needs to fight for her life. With the help of Kai, the Heavenly sword was returned. But Kai is being chased by Flying Fox. Nariko must save her. Nariko endedup in a cell
where Kai is hung by Flying Fox. Kai, being hung, was able to shoot Flying Fox in the head. Nariko returns to her clan with unconcious Kai. Bohan and his clan attacked Nariko's. She killed many troops but her life was beig sucked by the Heavenly Sword. She wished for the power of the Heavenly Sword and it was granted. Bohan asked for the power of the Raven King for him to defeat Nariko. Nariko and Bohan matched in a duel. Nariko wins leaving her body so weak. She asked Kai to keep and protect the Heavenly Sword.
