Jill Valentine Issue

RE fans know Jill since the beginning of the RE franchise. She was a former member of the delta team and now a member of the alpha team. She is known to be good at picking locks and having the capacity to hold more things. That was her specialty in the first game. She was one of the main characters then. Players find Jill luxurious in playing the game. Her mode is much easier compared to Chris'. We watched her character grow in the game. She discovered that the mansion was actually a front for a top-secret research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation. She also came to find that Wesker was a double agent working for Umbrella and had planned the whole operation as an experiment to test out Umbrella's t-virus B.O.W.s and to destroy the S.T.A.R.S. team. Along with fellow survivors, she escaped the mansion.

Jill returned as the sole protagonist of the third game, RE: Nemesis. Jill decided to stay in Raccoon City to find the whereabouts of Umbrella. However, Raccoon City became infected by the virus. Jill met a former member of the U.B.C.S., Carlos Oliveira. Jill was infected by the virus, but was cured by the help of Carlos. She eventually managed to kill NEMESIS single-handedly. She escaped Raccoon City with Carlos before the city exploded.

Jill returned to be the most playable character in the Nintendo Wii game, Umbrella Chronicles. She was in three of the four scenarios. One event was added to her game story. She and Chris went to Russia to destroy T-A-L-O-S project and succeeded.

Today, many fans were shocked and confused on what is happening to her character. In one of the trailers of the upcoming game, RE5, her tombstone was shown in the end. It seems that Jill died. It isn't really known yet what caused her death.

Fans concluded into theories about Jill. One is that they say that Jill is really dead and it was made for Chris to take revenge in the next game. Another is that Jill maybe is in hiding or in disguise. Another is that they say Jill is the girl seen to be in a huge glass tube in one of the early trailers of the game. They also say that Jill was the girl in the raven mask. Some people say that in the game, you will have to battle Jill twice, leading to their conclusion that Jill is becoming like Alice, the RE movie heroine, and has powers now.

I'm a big fan of Jill Valentine and I am really confused. Is it just a teaser or did they really killed Jill off? If they killed her off, that would be a mistake i guess. Why in the world would they kill of a main character? Well, I think I would just wait for the game's release.

So Far Comments on Assasin's Creed

Positive:

I love the way they did the game play of this game. In this game, you get to Eavesdrop, Pickpocket, and Interrogate people. Well that's just the way assassins do it right? They do this stuff to get information about their target. The next thing I like about this game is when you save an innocent citizen, they'll pay you back. When I say paying you back, I mean they do stuff to block the guards chasing you or to give you people to blend on which is really helpful in this game. When guards start to chase you, you have three choices. It's either you kill all of them, you blend on the scholars or you pass the vigilantes to block the guards and find a hiding spot. I also like the action of this game. It's not that boring and it's not that gory either. It's just simply great. Your character can do great counter attacks on your opponent. You can get great tactics on fighting guards to. Either killing them off by doing counter attacks or you just push them off a cliff (haha). I kinda laugh every time I kill all guards by just pushing them off an edge. It's just so funny! I also like the story lines of all the targets in this game. They all have different character backgrounds.

Negative:

What I don't like in this game is that it just gets repetitive once you go on the game. You just synchronize on tall buildings, save citizens, do some investigations and then kill the target. You'll get bored once you advance through the game. But if you like killing people in games, well this is the game for you!

Narnia: Prince Caspian

When I looked around gaming sites, I found out that a new Narnia game will be released. It's Narnia: Prince Caspian. Of course like the first game, it will be based on the movie. I've seen the game trailer and it was nice. Definitely better than the first one. But IMAO, I don't think this will be a good game considering the last game is bad. Once you saw the movie, you will know what to do in the game. That makes it have no thrills for players at all! Well that's just my opinion. I'll just find out for myself how good this game is..

God Of War 3!! *unofficial*

Rumors has it that it will be released on 2009... That's still unofficial. But yet, I'm excited already. God Of War Series rocks! Man! Totally cool. Great story line and animation. Great action and stunts.

I wonder when will it be released in the Philippines...

The game is about Nathan Drake who believes that he is a descendant of Francis Drake. Elena Fisher, a producer of a history show, to find the coffin of Sir Francis Drake in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, hired him. They found out that the body of Francis Drake wasn’t there but his diary was. Nathan concludes that Francis Drake faked his death. Troops began approaching their boat and attacked them. They escaped with the help of Sullivan. Nathan showed Sully Francis’ diary. They decided to find the ‘El Dorado’. They left Elena behind because of their belief that it is too dangerous for her. After few discoveries, Sully was kidnapped. Nathan, left alone, ran to escape. With the help of Elena, they escaped safely. With the aid of the diary, their search begins. They flew to an island where the ‘El Dorado’ is believed to be in. Suddenly enemy planes attacked them thus resulting the plane to crash. The crash led to the separation of Nathan and Elena. Nathan, attacked by enemy troops, went to find Elena. They found each other and then were attacked by an ambush. They killed all the enemies and found Sully. They rescued him. Nathan accidentally found a hidden passage in the library. Nathan went alone. Nathan’s searched ended up with no treasure but with hints and clues. He ended up meeting Elena and Sully again. Nathan, using the clues, opened a hidden passage. He went there, but this time with Elena. They went on to seek the treasure. With the aid of a diary, Nathan followed it to go to the right place. They ended up teaming with the enemy because they encountered these creepy zombies. The enemy died. Nathan and Elena ran for their lives. They ended up in an underground apartment. The power went down and Nathan needs to get to the power room alone. He encountered a weird video that shows the curse of the El Dorado. Because of the El Dorado, people became zombies. Nathan reached the power room after defeating a number of zombies. Now he has to get back but he has to face zombies again. When he got back, Elena was kidnapped. Now, he needs to go back to Sully and rescue Elena. This time, he has two types of enemies, zombies and soldiers. He immediately went where Sully was and rushed to where the treasure is but they were too late. The bad guys made it earlier than them. The bad guys carried the El Dorado with a helicopter. Nathan jumped into the helicopter to stop the curse from spreading. They ended up in a large ship. The troops are after him and Elena unconscious. Nathan killed them all and sank the El Dorado in the ocean. Nathan saved the day. Elena and Nathan finally fell in love. Sully arrived carrying treasure.

Gameplay: [8/10]
It was amazing. You can explore the setting with your character freely. It used the new wireless Controllers’ features in the game. The game was action packed and did well in the background. There was also the natural effect. When your character is riding a jet ski, it feels like he is really riding a jet ski.
But the bad side is that you can actually finish the game less than 15 hours of playtime. The character can jump 2-4 meters across a gap, which is impossible in real life.


Graphics: [9/10]
Totally great! It’s like watching a movie already. And it applies the effect of nature on your character. The character really gets wet.


Characters: [10/10]
Totally great too! Each character has a stable personality, which can make the game more exciting to play. They designed the characters pretty well. Their clothes are just fine, not too fancy, and not too normal either. Each character has their own background too that is relevant to their behavior and personality.

GamePlay: [6/10]
The game play was good but not that good. You can interact with the tourist in your character’s town by the conversation options. You can even give them gifts. You earn money by doing this. You can also play mini games. You also earn money by playing mini games. When you achieved the goal points, you’ll unlock another difficulty of that mini game. Your character must solve problems in the town to help improve it. Well that will have you work to do! And of course, you buy furniture and arrange them in your house like any Sims game.
It’s time for the bad things. To start off, the conversation options are just being repetitive. Nothing changes. You just choose between: Scold, Talk, Listen, Encourage, Cry, and Laugh. That’s it! And there’s really nothing much to do in the game as you go on. You just make friends to earn money. Why do you earn money by making friends anyway? It’s not like you’re a prostitute or something.

Graphics: [8/10]
The graphics is cute! Just like any DS game would be. But it wasn’t that impressive. It just makes it like a child’s game.

Sound: [8/10]
The sound was also cute. It is perfectly matched with the cute graphics. But something about the sound that bothers me. When your character is fishing and you move the floater, it makes sound. That doesn’t really happen in real life, does it?



Story: [6/10]
The character just needs to help improve the town. That’s it! Nothing interesting really happens. The town just gets more and more visitors to talk to. Now that’s tiring! And most of all it’s getting so repetitive.
